Fourthline completes acquisition of Veridas
Finch Capital portfolio company Fourthline has completed its combination with Veridas, creating a European leader in bank-grade digital identity, compliance and fraud prevention across 50+ countries.

Amsterdam & Pamplona, 3 November 2026 — Fourthline and Veridas have completed their merger, first announced on 16 July 2026. The transaction closed on 3 November 2026 after all closing conditions were satisfied.
The combined business brings together Fourthline's compliance and decisioning platform, built for regulated financial services in Northern and Central Europe, with Veridas's biometric, document and voice technology, deployed across Southern Europe, Latin America and the US. Customers get one provider for end-to-end KYC, AML and identity compliance on a fully proprietary stack, and the group is on track for 200 million verifications in 2026.
Key figures
- Projected combined revenue of more than €50m in 2026, with both businesses EBITDA-positive at closing
- Target of €85m annual recurring revenue by 2029
- Expected €20m in annual run-rate synergies, largely from cross-selling each company's technology to the other's customers
- Funding of up to €65m from existing shareholder Finch Capital, new equity from Seaya Andromeda and debt financing from Ashgrove Capital
The funding will be used to accelerate product innovation, pursue strategic M&A, refinance debt and support a shareholding reorganisation that includes partial liquidity for Veridas shareholders.
Leadership and governance
Fourthline CEO Paul Stoddart will lead the combined company as Chief Executive Officer, and Veridas CEO Eduardo Azanza becomes President. Finch Capital Managing Partner Radboud Vlaar chairs the Supervisory Board of Fourthline Group Holding B.V., joined by Esteban Morrás, Finch Capital's Philip van Engers and Alfonso Diaz of Seaya Andromeda. The group is headquartered in Amsterdam, with offices in Stockholm, Pamplona, Barcelona, Mexico, São Paulo and Boston.

Why now
Regulated businesses face increasingly AI-generated fraud, including deepfakes and synthetic identities, alongside a widening compliance perimeter from the EU AMLR, MiCA, eIDAS 2.0, national age-verification rules and CNBV & CUB requirements in Latin America and Mexico. Juniper Research expects global spend on digital identity verification to grow from nearly $19bn in 2026 to more than $29bn by 2030.

"We believe this market is ripe for consolidation, which we feel Fourthline and Veridas are well positioned for, as demonstrated by the strong organic growth and major Tier-1 Bank RFP wins. We look forward to working closely with Paul and his team to execute the value creation plan and build out the leadership further."
